How To Get Immediately
(Without Buying It)
Did you ever watch the famous Kevin
Costner movie called, "Field of Dreams?" In the movie there's a famous line that
says, "If you build it, they will come." Well, that might be true in the movies, but when you're marketing on the
internet, that certainly is NOT true. Over the years, I've known so many small business owners that have invested thousands in their website only to have it sit there like a ghost town.
Today, I want to reveal to you a very
simple method of getting highlyimmediately to your website.
This Method Is Called BLOG COMMENTING
Blog commenting is a very simple
activity that you can do every day to
easily and quickly generate targeted
traffic to your site.
Every blog has a commenting function
that allows you to post your thoughts or
opinions on someone else's blog post.
Here's Exactly How To Do It....
STEP 1 - DO SOME RESEARCH
Let's suppose I have a blog about "small
business marketing" (no surprise)
I would go out and find all the blogs
that talk about small business marketing
and make a list of them.
You can search through blog directories
such as Technorati.com or just type in
"small business marketing" and "blog"
into google and you'll find many small
business marketing blogs.
Write down the URL of the blog, who the
blog owner is, and their contact
Then go and look up the traffic ranking
of each blog on Alexa.com to determine
how much traffic it gets.
You'll also want to take a look to see
how often the owner is posting to his
blog, in addition to, whether or not
it's getting a lot of comments from
Finally, narrow down your list of small
business marketing blogs to your top
seven based on their Alexa ranking,
their posting frequency, their topic and
their commenting activity.
STEP 2 - CREATE YOUR GRAVATAR
You might want to create a "gravatar,"
which is your "persona" or identity
online. You can do that at gravatar.com.
Your gravatar will show up every time
you make a comment on someone else's
It will provide a consistent identity
across all the blogs that you are
commenting on so that your target market
starts seeing and recognizing you
And it also provides a link back to your
STEP 3 - GO COMMENT
Now you just create a schedule of blogs
you're going to visit every day. Once
you're there, if there's a new post,
read it and make a comment on it.
The better the comment, the more people
are going to click on your website link
and come back to your website.
Pretty soon the owner of the blog will
get to know you.
Especially if you're contributing great
comments on his blog. Once you've
established a relationship with the blog
owner, you might even ask if accepts
guest blog posts so that you can submit
articles to his blog.
5 Tips for Highly Effective Blog
Here's a few "tips from the trenches" on
how to get the best results from your
blog commenting efforts.
TIP 1 - CHOOSE WISELY
Only post on high quality, high traffic,
highly targeted blogs. When you comment
on a blog that has these
characteristics, your efforts will bring
more targeted visitors to your blog.
TIP 2 - CREATE RELATIONSHIPS
The owners of the blogs you're posting
in could become great joint venture
partners with you because you most
likely share the same target audience.
In your comments, use the blog owners
name and include compliments and kudos
about their work.
TIP 3 - BE CONSISTENT
Pick a time during the day that you're
going to devote to blog commenting. 30
minutes a day is probably enough time to
visit and comment on people's blogs.
Make sure that 30 minute time slot is
done at a specific time every day.
TIP 4 - DON'T STUFF LINKS
Too many people stuff their comments
full of links back to their site or
other websites. That's bad form. Don't
do that. The link back to your site in
your gravatar is enough. Keep your
comments informative, opinionated but
TIP 5 - AUTOMATE!!!
I saved this one for last because it can
speed up the time you do blog commenting
immensely. I use a little software
program called Blog Commenting Demon to
do my commenting. It speeds up the blog
commenting process immensely.
However, you do not need any software.
Just go to your top 10 sites, read their
posts, and make some comments. It's very
When you execute your blog commenting
plan consistently over time, you'll see
amazing results and you'll probably
create some relationships that could
take your business in directions you
never thought possible.
